Cathy Jackson-Gent, A.I.F.A.
CEO/Principal/Advisor
As CEO and an Investment Advisor Representative, Mrs. Jackson-Gent founded Global Investment Company in 1987. She has been instrumental in helping clients develop and implement successful financial strategies and policy since 1984. Completing her undergrad education holding a Bachelor of Science from The University of San Francisco with a major in Management Science and Computer Science. Following her undergraduate education, Cathy attended the Anderson School of Management at the University of California Los Angeles graduating from the Management Development Program for Entrepreneurs and The Center for Fiduciary Studies at the University of Pittsburg
Cathy is a Registered Representative with Cambridge, licensed with her Series 7, 63, and 65, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (A.I.F.A.) and a licensed insurance agent.
Mrs. Jackson-Gent represents the small business community in the State of California for over 10 years. She continues to holds government appointed seats as: Chairperson-Small Business Employers Advisory Committee (SBEAC) for the State of California EDD, Chairperson- Metropolitan Transportation Commission Advisory Council and Transportation Business Roundtable Advisory Council Member.
- Appointed in 1998 by the Governor to serve as the current chair Small Business Employers Advisory Committee (SBEAC).
- Appointed by the Insurance Commissioner as a member of the Agents and Brokers Advisory Committee for the State of California.

Alexander Portillo
Executive Assistant Partner Support
Currently assisting the day to day operations of Global Investment Company's office and directly supporting Cathy Jackson-Gent. Alexander is the Executive Assistant Partner Support and heads the executive office at Global Investment Company. Alexander successfully completed his undergrad education holding a Bachelor of Science from Saint Mary's College with a major in Business Administration concentration in Finance.
Prior to joining Global Investment Company, Alexander worked for an internet start-up as a Business Operations Assistant for Center'd Corporation/The Dealmap headquartered in Menlo Park which was later acquired by Google. As a native San Franciscan, Alexander spends his free time being with family and friends, traveling, and enjoying what life has to offer.
Anita Patel
Financial Advisor:
After graduating with honors from the Wharton School, Anita J Patel, began her career in financial services with SEI Corporation. In SEI's pension consulting department, she worked with large corporate plan sponsors, endowments and foundations to develop their asset allocations, determine annual contribution amounts, evaluate their existing portfolio managers and conduct new manager searches. From there, she went to the global equity manager, Clay Finlay, where her role evolved from client services and performance measurement to emerging markets analysis and special projects. She continued working within institutional financial services in a variety of capacities.
The death of her father inspired Ms. Patel to redirect her financial education and experience to help families and smaller organizations maneuver their financial obstacles. As a Chartered Financial Analyst and Independent Financial Advisor, she brings knowledge gleaned from a decade of institutional financial services to the clients that generally lack that kind of access.
